My Story

Ethan became a designer as the world wide web became popular in the late 1990s. After graduating from Yale University with a degree in computer science and coursework in graphic design, writing and psychology, he worked at several design consultancies. He was an Information Designer for Studio Archetype, and then a User Experience Lead for Razorfish.

In 2004, he received his Master's degree at the MIT Media Lab, doing research with the Sociable Media Group. He then became a Product Design Lead at IBM, first working on social software applications for enterprises as part of the Collaboration Solutions group and then leading design for Watson Talent Management applications such as Watson Candidate Assistant and Watson Recruitment.

After leaving IBM, Ethan became a Senior UX Architect and then Director of UX, Design System and Technical Communications at Duck Creek Technologies. Duck Creek is an Insuretech firm that creates software for the insurance industry including applications for underwriting, billing and claims.

Ethan enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid Boston Celtics fan.
